Salzburg Salt Worlds

General information

Essence of Life - You have never discovered salt like this before

The 2500-year history of salt, the “white gold” of earlier centuries, can be experienced in the oldest visitor mine in the world. You follow in the footsteps of the Celts, but also discover the world of miners from the Middle Ages to the present day. The mine train is fun and easy going into the salt mine and two long miner's slides lead to the underground salt lake.
You can also find out more about the meaning of salt - as the essence of life - above ground on the Kelten.Erlebnis.Berg. The Celtic village SALINA, the new show manufactory and a themed playground are best explored playfully with the AR researcher app.

Tip:
The new Salzwelten app including an audio guide (available in the App Store or on Google Play) provides free information and background information. Don't forget sturdy shoes and warm clothing!

Children aged 4 and over are allowed to visit the salt mine. The Kelten.Erlebnis.Berg can be discovered from 0 to 99 years of age.
